Hysteria Rewind

Medina 49 Wadsworth 21

The Medina Bees jumped out to a 21-0 first half lead and never looked back, as they improved to (3-0) on the year with a convincing 49-21 win over county rival Wadsworth.

QB Justin Letts continues to power the offense in the absence of starting QB Mason Schreck.  Letts ran for 2 scores, threw for another and kicked all 7 extra points to lead the way. RB Jason Suggs paced the Medina ground attack, as he rushed for

85 yards on 18 carries with a touchdown.  Also reaching the end zone for the “Killer Bees’, Laterian Brown, Aaron Harris, Conner Rupert and Walter Bailey.  Taylor Bennett spearheaded the Medina “D” with 11 tackles, while teammate Aaron Wilson was a one man wrecking crew with 10 tackles and 2 sacks.  Nick Seme was the lone bright spot for the Grizzles, scoring 2 touchdowns.

Next up for Medina, a road trip to Stow on Friday night.  Kick off is set for 7pm.

Westlake 22 Rocky River 7

If you were looking for sexy, this wasn’t the game for you. The Westlake Demons went on the road and dominated the Rocky River Pirates 22-7.

Rocky River struck quickly with a 70-yard connection between QB Ronnie Plagens and WR Zak Echols to make it 7-0 less than 30 seconds into the game. Westlake didn’t allow another point however and rode RB Johnathan Brick to victory.

Brick had over 200 yards of total offense, including 175 yards on the ground. Westlake QB Mike Massaad also connected on two touchdown passes (including one to Brick) but for the most part Westlake relied on the running game and ball control to keep the Pirates in check. In the third quarter alone, the Demons held the ball for over ten minutes, and in the end the Pirates just didn’t have enough time to catch up.
