Ohio State and Miami Prove to Be a Learning Experience

By: Kenny Roda

WHAT DID WE LEARN ABOUT OHIO STATE WITH THEIR 36-24 WIN OVER MIAMI?

  • Terrell Pryor has matured and become a leader and is truly a Heisman Trophy candidate.
  • This Ohio State defense isn’t great, but it’s pretty darn good. They’ll be even better if they can generate a pass rush.
  • Cameron Heyward always seems to show up BIG in BIG games!

    Terrelle Pryor: Heisman Hopeful

  • Getting Nathan Williams back, meant a lot to the defense. He’s a difference maker!
  • Chimdi Chekwa is getting better.  So is Johnny Simon.
  • We still don’t know who the feature running back is. Herron played well today, Saine did not.
  • The O-Line was good, but not great.  Maybe solid is the best way to describe the O-Line.
  • Devier Posey is the real deal, as I tried to tell everybody before the season started.
  • Special Teams continues to be the biggest weakness, concern on this team. That’s 3 special teams TD’s given up in 2 games!
  • The Buckeyes are definitely a National Championship contender!
  • Next up the Bobcats of Ohio.  The Buckeyes can’t have a letdown next Saturday, which is typical after a big win!
