Roda’s Thoughts on Steelers – Browns

By: Kenny Roda

COLT MC COY DID ENOUGH YESTERDAY THAT I’M INTERESTED IN SEEING HIM AGAIN NEXT WEEK TO SEE, NOW THAT THERE’S SOME FILM ON HIM, HOW HE WOULD DO IN THE NEXT GAME. (at NEW ORLEANS)

Colt McCoy and Ben Roethlisberger

MC COY’S FINAL NUMBERS WERE SOME WHAT PADDED COURTESY OF THE PREVENT DEFENSE THE STEELERS WENT TO WHEN THEY LED 21-3, BUT STILL, A SOLID JOB BY MC COY.  HE PLAYED BETTER THAN I THOUGHT HE WOULD.

ERIC WRIGHT SHOULD BE MOVED TO THE NICKLE BACK AND START JOE HADEN.  ALSO IF YOU’RE GOING TO BLITZ, DON’T LEAVE WRIGHT IN ONE-ON-ONE COVERAGE.

THE RECEIVERS ON THIS TEAM ARE TERRIBLE, BUT I DON’T BLAME THEM ANY MORE. I BLAME THE PEOPLE WHO DRAFTED THEM, TRADED FOR THEM, OR SIGNED THEM……ERIC MANGINI & TOM HECKERT!

JAMES HARRISON WILL GET FINED FOR HIS HIT ON MO MASSAQUOI, BUT NOT FOR THE JOSH CRIBBS HIT.  CRIBBS WAS RUNNING THE BALL AND WASN’T DEFENSELESS.  MASSAQUOI WAS!

(1-5) IS WHAT IT IS.  THE BROWNS ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE,

A BAD FOOTBALL TEAM.  THE WORST IN THE LEAGUE?  NO.  BUT A BAD FOOTBALL TEAM!

  1. Perfect article… However, I am tired fo the “Mangini drafted bad” arguement…. Last time I checked he was fired from that job… It is up to Heckert and Holmgren to know they need receievers…. Heckart had two second round busts as well with Hardesty and Lauvao…. yes, they may make it down the road and so might Mo Mass and Robo….

Mangini deserves next year unless the team gives up on him which they have not yet… gotta draft some talent for the O… Sick and tired of new coaches and starting over in this town
