Progress Being Made, Even in Losses

By: Kenny Roda

As painful as the 26-20 overtime loss to the Jets was, it continued to show progress is being made with the Cleveland Browns.  First and foremost, the Browns might have their quarterback of the future in Colt McCoy.

McCoy’s first 4 games as a pro were against the Steelers, Saints, Patriots and Jets and he passed the test.

He went 2 and 2, didn’t commit a turnover, and showed leadership and played with the confidence a quarterback in the NFL has to have.  There is no reason why he shouldn’t be named as the starting QB for the rest of the season.

Also progress has been made in the running game and on defense.  While both aren’t leading the league in each category, they aren’t near the bottom of the league in as well.

A few more playmakers on offense and defense, and a decision on who the coach is going to be, will help make this team a legitimate playoff team, maybe as early as next year!
