Charlie Frye In Line to Win a (Fantasy) Championship Ring

By: Will Burge

Local “talent” Charlie Frye is line to get a championship ring this season. You may remember Frye from his days scrambling for his life and never exercising pocket presence with the Browns.

Fans were good to Charlie. He was not good in return. He sported a 6-13 record as the starting quarterback. He completed just 55% of his passes, throwing 14 touchdowns and 23 interceptions.

Former Browns QB Charlie Frye

After a 34-7 beat down in the first game of the 2007 regular season, Charlie was traded to the Seattle Seahawks the next day. Since then he has played in 4 games going 1-3. Frye is currently on the Injured Reserve for the Oakland raiders, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel for the old drive thru hero!

Charlie Frye is in line to win the first championship ring of his career.

You may be asking yourself how this will happen. I will tell you.

In one of my two fantasy leagues I have a 9-1 record. I am a 25-30 point favorite every week and I have the highest point total in the league after almost every game.

This week’s waiver wire pick up: Charlie freaking Frye.

Someone in Cleveland deserves a little love, why not Charles.

So get your acceptance speech ready Chuck because when the fans are chanting our team name and the floats are riding down Euclid, you’re a part of the biggest accomplishment in your sporting career… a “City Guys” league championship.
